Tillman Tuesday - Book 'em, Sully!

Today's Tillman Tuesday question is: What is your favorite animal book??

I can't decide on just one, myself, cuz I read SO MANY when I was working on this PSA for the New York Public Library a while back:

Leave a comment below about *your* favorite animal book - and don't forget your Twitter ID or your email address, so I can track you down if you win my random drawing! One commenter will get a $50 Petco gift card to buy whatever they want - though I highly recommend NATURAL BALANCE PET FOOD with a TILLMAN'S TREATS chaser!! Bone appétit! BOL!!

We're big readers!

You have to be a U.S. resident to enter this giveaway. Well, that's not really true. You can still enter if you're not, but you'll need to choose a U.S. resident to give or donate the prize to, if you win.

Be sure to watch "Who Let The Dogs Out" on Animal Planet this Saturday! You don't want to miss my fling with Betty White - or see Ron dressed in that suit again! (Just kidding  Ron, it looks great.) BOL!
Who's smooching who!?
Which one of us looks more
uncomfortable in our suit?

And don't forget to RSVP for my "Who Let The Dogs Out" Viewing Pawty on Saturday on Twitter!      --> RSVP. I'll be hanging with my pals again from 6-11am PDT while we watch the show through all the different U.S. time zones on Animal Planet.

Keepin' track of all my prize winners.
Dawg! We've had a lot of winners!

OK, so tell me yer favorite animal books! Maybe there's one I missed...

Tillman

If I have to choose one book the first Warriors book by Erin Hunter. It opened the doors to a world of magic for me. Each Warriors book shows us how courage, support and companionship amongst friends and families nourishes our lives and that sadness is not the end of the world but can be shared so we don't feel alone.

This is harder than it looks, PSA's are good, these days I like the material that doesn't make it to the library.
Thousands of favorites for different reasons, I used to pick up hundreds of books to give to the foster care system.

To Start: @Unchat
Animal Farm, Orwell (with Spark Notes)
The Painter and the Wild Swans, Clement

PepiSmartDog: My brofur is Travel Bear @TeddyRupert, so I have to say the collection of Rupert Bear books. Rupert Bear had his own television show and a range of books and comics, going back to the 1930s. @PepiSmartDog

Dog On It by Spencer Quinn. It's a mystery about Chet and his detective owner, Bernie.

As a child it was the Black Stallion series by Walter Farley. As an adult it is a tie between The Cat Who series by Lillian Jackson Braun and the Mrs. Murphey mysteries by Rita Mae and Sneaky Pie Brown.

"Dewie The Library Cat" is a sweet book. A poor little rescue kitty who was put into a book return that froze his paws but happily finally had a great life. TigerBoyTheCat

There are so many great dog stories but my favorite is Bel Ria. It's by the Incredible Journey author. I can't believe it hasn't been made into a movie yet. Come to think of it, an English Bulldog might just be perfect for the lead role. Be warned though, it's a real tear jerker!
